Harold Vincent
VINCENT, HAROLD R. - The death of Harold R. Vincent, husband of Cora (Adamson) Vincent, occurred at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing on Monday May 30, 2011. Born in Saint John, on January 4,1918 he was a son of the late Burlin and Emily A. (Carr) Vincent. Harold was a life long resident of Saint John, and was employed for many years as a cook at the former DVA Hospital. He was a veteran of WW II serving overseas with the Number 7 Ordinance Corp Harold was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and a member of the Friendly Fellowship Seniors Group. He was predeceased by two brothers Frank B and John H. Vincent. As well as his wife, Harold is survived by three sons: Barry H. Vincent (Ruth) of Millidgeville, Peter B. Vincent (Kathy) of Quispamsis and Rodney G. Vincent of Nerepis, NB; one daughter Janice E. Engalls (Norman) of Saint John North; six grandchildren: Stacy Hilden (Hal), Andrew D. Engalls, J. Mark Engalls, Timothy (Tim) B. Vincent (April), Sarah Jane Vincent and Bradley P. Vincent; sister in law, Mildred Wiggins.
Resting at Main Street Baptist Church from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday with a service at 2:00 pm. Following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall. Burial will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place at Main Street Baptist Church on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
