Passed away Sunday, May 29th, at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, after a relatively short illness, Mabel Handrigan, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband, Clarence; her son, Lloyd; her grand-daughter, Lisa Marie Evans; and her sister, Janet Penwell. Leaving to mourn her son, Clayton, and daughter-in-law, June; her devoted daughter, Eileen, and son-in-law, Arch Evans; and daughter-in-law, Rachel; as well as her brother, Howard Thornhill (Sylvia). Also mourning her loss are grandchildren, Jill (David Howlett); Nancy (Peter Oleskevich); Kurt Handrigan (Daryl); and their mother, Rev. Marion Davis; Marcus Evans (Charlene); Ruth Evans (Dan Piccolo); Shelley (Harry Cormier); Susan (Sergio Fondacaro); and Mary (Michael Byrne); as well as step-grandchildren, Kim, Todd, & Twyla Winsor. “Nan-Nan” is also remembered by 18 great-grandchildren: Georgia Handrigan, Eve, Gabriel, & Saul Edwards, Amy & Billy Evans, Grace & Karina Oleskevich, Ryan Winsor, Raphael & Emmanuel Srawley, Kinsley & Kassie Cormier, Rafaelle & Sasha Fondacaro, Liam & Noah Hillis, and Nathan Byrne. Also three great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large number of nephews and nieces. A special thanks to the staff of both Luxury Estates and Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank, with funeral services from Grand Bank United Church on Wednesday, June 1st, at 2 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
