BURGOYNE, Stanley Harold - 86, of Aylesford passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born July 3, 1924 in Springfield, Annapolis County, he was a son of the late Ralph and Bernice (Robar) Burgoyne. Stanley was a woodsman for many years and then went on be a mechanic and welder until he had a heart attack and retired about 1970. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and wood carving. He is survived by long time and dear friend Marguerite Durling, daughters Judith Burgoyne (Robert Graves), Wilmot, Eva (Paul) Brown, Murphy Lake and Donna Ross, Stronach Mtn. Road as well as a son Everett (Connie), Victoriavale. Also adopted daughter Cheryl Burgoyne, Aylesford, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Brothers Irving, Douglas, Russell and Nelson; sisters Laura, Ruth, Elaine and Shirley. He was predeceased by his wife the former Sadie Robar, an infant daughter and brothers Guilford, Donald, Maynard and a sister Evelyn. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, May 22nd in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23rd, Rev. Robert Gates officiating.
