At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday May 30, 2011 of Robert A. Humphries of Darnley aged 77 years. Born in Toronto, Dec. 14, 1933, son of the late G. Victor and Helen (Anthony) Humphries. Husband of Sybil E. (Rix) Humphries. Father of Susan Arnott (Jack Debeau), Lindsay, Ont; Heather Mounsey, Ajax, Ont. and Danny (Ann) Humphries, Minden, Ont. Step-father of Karen (Patrick) Campbell, Kensington; Anne (Joseph) Lawson, North York, Ont. and Sandra (Mark) Nicholson, Wetaskiwin, AB. Grandfather of 13 Grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Barbara (Russell) McKay, Don Mills, Ont. Brother-in-law of John Rix (Edna Wall), Charlottetown; Ernest Rix, Ottawa; Wayne (Carm) Rix, Kensington and Verna Rix, Kensington. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his son-in-law Bob Arnott, stepfather Les Lawrence and father and mother-in-law Fraser and Goldie Rix. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. A public graveside committal service will be held at People’s Cemetery Malpeque on Thursday June 2 at 2 p.m. If so desired contributions may be made to People’s Cemetery Malpeque.
