After a short courageous battle with cancer, Fred Stafford, age 68, passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his parents: Fred Sr. & Jean Stafford; brother: Chris Stafford. Fred will be forever loved and deeply missed by Leslie, his devoted wife of 40 years; children: Frederick “Freddie”, Viki (Peter) and Keri-Ann (Bobby); grandchildren: Matthew, Jordan, Maria, Austin, Julian & Nathan; sisters: Toni (Bernard), Debbie and Jill (George); brother: Steve (Sheila); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Fred had a passion for cooking, outdoor activities and wood working. He was an all-around family man who will be forever cherished in our hearts. We would like to express our deepest thanks to the staff and doctors of 6 east St. Clare’s Hospital for their excellent care and support. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation as per Fred’s request. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory may be made to Daffodil Place.
