Lawrence Neil 'Ike' Mac Neil
On Thursday, January 24, 2019 Lawrence Neil Mac Neil, Etobicoke, ON passed away at the age of 71 years. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Ike was the son of the late Lawrence Neil and Bridget (Murphy) Mac Neil.
He is survived by his longtime loving partner, Marcela Cermak of Etobicoke, ON; his beloved son, Paul Mac Neil & Carrie Mac Neil, Waterloo, ON; grandchildren, Cassidy, Abigail, Benjamin & Alexander; beloved daughter, Le-Anne Todd-Rix, Victoria, BC; grandchildren, Chase & Aryanna Todd-Rix; Katie & Stewart Roberts, Summerland, BC; grandchildren, Amanda, Kyla & River Thompson-Roberts and brother, Hector Mac Neil of Sydney, NS.
In this sad time, we will fondly remember and cherish the many memories we have of Ike. He had such a big heart and he will be remembered for his sense of humor, he will be honoured dearly as a great listener and for always being there for those in need.
Cremation has taken place. At the Mac Neil's request, Ike will be laid to rest in Nova Scotia in the spring at a private gathering.
