It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen Isobel Bacon age 87, of Riverview and formerly of Amherst announce her passing on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Moncton Hospital.
Born in Amherst Point, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Vera (Trueman) Shipley.
Kaye graduated from Amherst High School and St. Charles Commercial School. Before her marriage, Kaye worked for a short period at Simpsons Order Office in Amherst.
Kathleen was a homemaker and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed bowling and trailering, especially in Fundy Park, NB.
Kaye had a great passion for her dogs.
She is survived by one daughter Cynthia Herron of Prosser Brook, NB, one grandson Sean of Petitcodiac, NB, one great granddaughter Madison, one sister Eleanor (Ivan) Lusby of West Amherst and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Kaye was predeceased by her husband Donald and daughter Susan Lynn in infancy.
Her remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) with visitation on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
Rev. Byron Corkum will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery.
