It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annie Christine Penny on February 1, 2019 at Victoria Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Round Island she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Campbell) MacQueen.
Annie was employed for many years as an Office Bookkeeper in many different businesses in the Sydney area. She was a very kind and gentle lady who would be there for anyone who needed her.
Surviving is her sister, Effie (Donald) Ferguson; sister-in-law, Jean MacQueen; best friends, Margaret Fasciani and Mildred Howard; many special nieces and nephews and a special grandnephew, Stephen Spencer.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Michael; son, John Michael; brothers, Donald and James; sisters, Margaret and Ina MacDonald.
Visitation for Annie will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay, with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel.
