The death occurred at home in Charlottetown, on Sunday, August 30, 2009, of Elmer Blanchard, formerly of New Glasgow, age 66.
Elmer was the devoted husband of Hazel (nee Allen); caring father of Scott and Tanya, and his step-daughter, Christine. He is survived by his brothers, Eugene (Joan); Carl (Linda); Francis; and canine buddy, Max. Elmer was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine Blanchard; sister-in-law, Diane; father and mother-in-law, John Allen and Alice Allen.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Church Cemetery.
