GORDON FERGUSON

Card of Thanks
Gordon Ferguson

As we begin a new path in life’s journey following the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Gordon “Fergie” Ferguson, we are overwhelmed by the love and support of our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Dr. Michel McKeough and Louise, for your dedicated care over the years. Gordie looked forward to his regular visits. Daniel, Audrey and the staff of Sobeys Pharmacy for your patience and understanding.
Isabel Tobin and the staff of Northside Homemakers, you went above and beyond to enable Fergie to stay at home as long as possible. You are truly credits to your professions. He enjoyed the sing songs and tormenting!
To the hands-on staff of Wentworth Court for the TLC and meals and to our family and friends who visited the nursing homes both in Truro and Sydney. He enjoyed the special treats and trips in the halls.
The visits, phone calls, emails, cards, flowers, monetary/charitable donations and food brought to our homes have been so generous, those who travelled to share in our sorrow and celebrate Fergie’s life and those who kept things going at home, especially Susan.
Walter Stewart and Warren MacEachern for organizing and those who participated in the honor guard at the wake and funeral. To see an assembly of present, past, and retired police officers was such a tribute.
Rev. Marion you are such a source of strength. Your visits, words of prayer, encouragement, and meaningful service will be with us always. Organist Kathy Audoux and choir of St. Andrew’s, your talents brought us wonderful memories hearing Gordie’s favorite hymns. The reception hosted by the ladies and gentlemen of St. Andrew’s was a welcome time of gathering.
Granddaughter’s Julianna for her musical tribute, A Song for Poppy, and Chelsea for delivering a heartfelt eulogy, Pop would be so proud, as we all were.
Escorting someone you love on their final journey can never be an easy task but Ferge’s sons-in- laws Billy, Darren and Peter, grandson Zach, and special friends Nathan and Jackie, did so with pride and dignity.
Manning “Brother” and staff Ian and Erika of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, what can we say; you made a heart wrenching task more bearable through your patience, guidance and understanding.
If we have missed anyone please know every word and gesture did no go unnoticed and accept our sincere thanks and gratitude.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God Bless,
Wife Betty, Daddy’s Girls Donna, Ruth Ann, Kelly, Danielle & Families
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
