Elsie Carson

CARSON, ELSIE - Elsie Pearl Wall Carson, age 81, of Port Elgin, formerly of Cape Tormentine, passed away peacefully while surround by her family at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Born in Moncton, she was a daughter of the late James and Doris (Arbing) Wood. Elsie was a lifelong housewife, dedicated to the care of her husbands, children and family. She was very close to all her grandchildren. She enjoyed country music and loved to dance. She is survived by her three sons, Courtney (Julie) Wall, Port Elgin, Vernon (Sharon) Wall, Port Elgin and Stephen (Beverly) Carson, Bayfield; two daughters, Dolores Allen, Port Elgin, and Lillian (William) Mallery, Amherst; four brothers, George, Moncton, Erwin (Mona), Truro, Ted (Violet), Bayfield, and James (Connie) of Gagetown, sister; Iva Rayworth, Port Elgin; and 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by husbands Courtney Wall and Vance Carson, by grandson James, great grandson James, son-in-Law Ormand (Dolores) Allen, and sister Irene Trenholm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin, NB (538-2241). Visiting hours will take place at the Trinity United Church, Cape Tormentine on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the church on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Bayfield Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Elsie's memory may do so to the Trinity United Church, Cape Tormentine, the Lodge Mgr Henri Cormier, Moncton or the Palliative Care Department of the Sackville Memorial Hospital. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
