Richard Quinn
Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home, Clarke's Beach on Monday, February 18, 2008, Richard Quinn of South River. Predeceased by 1st wife Elsie (Coish), 1985; brothers James and Kevin; sister Margaret Corbett. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife: Rosalie (Hiscock); two sons: Richard (Doreen), Harbour Grace; Terry (Colleen Howe), Oromocto, NB; two daughters: Gertie (Terry) Carr and Denise Best (Brian Richey), both of Paradise; one step-daughter Sheila (Monty) Rowe, Goose Bay; daughter-in-law Helen Quinn, Calgary, AB; also fourteen grandchildren Niall, Michael, Brian, Kathy, Stephanie, Alison, Kristen, Nick, Jillian, Jessica, Vincent, Roger, Kirk and Charlene; six great-grandchildren Owen, Lorne, Rachel, Nicholas, Jonathan and Audrey; one brother Melvin, New Waterford, NS; one sister Marcella Holihan, Kitchener, ON; sisters-in-law Muriel (Wallace) Baker, St. John's and Audrey Hiscock, Victoria, BC; brothers-in-law Walter Hiscock, Stanford Connecticut, USA and Boyd (Ruth) Hiscock, Ottawa, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends, especially sister-in-law and lifetime friend, Ethel Coish, Orangeville, ON. At Dick's request, cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. A memorial Mass to take place at a later date, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
