Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, Douglas White of Dunville, formerly of Little Bona, age 93 years. Predeceased by his brothers Michael, Dan & Cyril, sisters Helen (Day) & Rose (Ball), and son-in-law Captain William Ennis. He leaves to mourn his wife of 68 years Elizabeth (Ryan); six sons: Bruce (Peggy), Eugene (Betty), Ken (Barbara), Paul, Douglas Jr. (Darlene), and David (Maureen); three daughters: Helen Ennis-Ledrew (Rudy), Rose Barron (Freeman), and Shirley; sixteen grandchildren: Kevin, Penny, Pandora, Stephen, Krista, Susan, Brian, Jennifer, Roma, Derek, Sheldon, Geoffrey, Jason, Staci, Stephanie, & Brittany; nine great-grandchildren; sister Marie DeVries, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday & Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Funeral Mass to take place on Friday June 3, 2011 at St. Anne’s Church, Dunville at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
