It is with broken hearts, we the family of Billy Fraser, announce his passing at the age of 59 in Calgary, Alberta on March 2, 2019.
Billy is survived by his sister, Lorna Jane Fraser and his special nephew, Liam, whom he adored, both of Westmount, Cape Breton Island.
Billy was predeceased by his parents, Mary Jessie (Forward) Fraser and Lloyd George Fraser.
Billy was known for his adventurous and carefree spirit. For the past 35 years, Billy resided in Calgary, a city he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a loyal employee of Associated Cabs, transporting children and adults with special needs using his customized van. Billy always showed thoughtfulness, compassion, and humor while developing special friendships with his clients.
Billy grew up in Westmount. In his younger years, Billy enjoyed camping (with his family throughout Canada), participating in sports, attending music events and playing piano. Billy had an extensive love and knowledge for music. Pets were always a part of Billy’s life.
Billy was a friend to all. Billy was a great conversationalist and was very diverse on many topics. Billy will be greatly missed for his generosity and selflessness. His family and many friends will always remember Billy’s kind-hearted soul.
Billy was laid to rest in Calgary, Alberta.
