The death occurred at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Thursday, March 7, 2019 of Ruby Ann McKie, of O’Leary, aged 72, wife of the late George McKie. Ruby was born in Alberton on June 29, 1947, daughter of the late Cecil & Dorothy (Leard) Skerry. Dear mother to Tamara (Kevin) Palmer, Summerside; Wayne St. Stephen; Rick, Summerside and Robbie, Summerside. Loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren. Ruby is also survived by siblings Marie Harvey (Kenny Lynch), Inverness; Alfred (Barb) Skerry, Enmore and Shirley (Clifford) MacDonald, Inverness. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, husband George (2002), daughter Laurie Ann, sister Frances and brother Bruce. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours Saturday from 4-7 pm. Funeral service in the chapel Sunday at 3:00 pm.
