Nellie Althea Lockhart
Age 96, of Springhill, passed away peacefully at Gables Lodge, Amherst on Monday, May 22, 2011.
Born in Rodney, she was a daughter of the late Thompson and Alma (Reid) Lowe. She will be sadly missed by her son Hilton, Amherst, daughter in law Carol, Springhill, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother Basil Lowe, Amherst; sisters Alice (Fred) Ripley, Kitchener, ON and Kathalene Lowe, Amherst.
She was predeceased by her husband Burton; son Lorne; an infant daughter Dorothy; grandson Chris; brother Fred; sister Bertha Brown and special friend Norman Locke.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill (902-597-2361). At Nellie's request there will be no funeral services. Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery.
