Mary Elizabeth (Morrison) Reid of Waterford, Michigan passed away peacefully on April 27, 2011 at 80 years of age.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Dougall and Maude (Williams) Morrison.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Roger J. ‘Jack’; children, Robin, New York and Shauna Prudhomme, Waterford; her grandchildren, Chelsea and Cameron and her two sisters, Jessie O’Keefe of Sydney and Camella Osborne of Windsor, Ont.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Veronica MacNeil and Louise Gushue, both from Windsor, Ont. and her brother, Joe Morrison from Huntington Beach, Calif.
After training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Glace Bay, Mary moved to Michigan in 1954 where she worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. An avid traveler, Mary also enjoyed golf, cooking, reading, bridge and her garden.
Cremation has already taken place. Family and friends will gather for an interment ceremony July 9, 2011 at the Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford, MI. followed by a celebration of her life at the Fieldstone Golf Club in Auburn Hills MI.
