Hazel Goss

Born: August 8th, 1923

Passed on: March 16th, 2019

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our wonderful mother, Mary Adelaide Hazel Goss (nee Campbell) at her home in Corner Brook surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the age of 95 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Sherry Bessie (Bruce), Furry Creek, BC, Kathy Dolsky (Greg), Edmonton, AB, Kristy Gray (Allan), Dundas, ON, John Goss (Nancy), Corner Brook, NL, Victoria Purchase-Carter (Roger), Corner Brook, NL; grandchildren: Jake Bessie (Fern), Craig Bessie, Alexa Dolsky, Jessi and David Gray, Lauren Newman, Erica, Emily and Jonathan Goss (Emily), Candice and Megan Saunders; great-grandchildren: Hazel and Brooke Bessie, Jack Goss, TJ and Isabella Saunders; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Goss, daughter Jacqueline Jessica Goss, parents Warden and Leitha Campbell, siblings Ralph, Bill, Patsy and Eileen. We had a loving and happy home no matter where we lived – Moncton, Winnipeg, Edmonton, St. John’s, Gander and at the cottage in Pointe du chene, NB. Mom had a love of music and a wicked sense of humour so there was never a dull moment when she was around. She volunteered for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Janeway Children’s Hospital in St. John’s. Special thanks to Nancy Goss and Candice Saunders for their awesome care at home as mom’s health declined. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Thursday 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Campbellton, NB. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed by visiting www.fillatre.ca.
