of Kilbride. Passed peacefully away in his 90th year in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by beloved wife Josephine and five children Elizabeth, Donna, Brendan, Jerome and Gus. Leaving to mourn in loving memory are his daughters: Rose (Wade), Sheila (Don); sons: Jim (Arlene), Dave (Jenny), Bernard (Joan), Leo, Gerard, Danny (Marg), Paddy (Christine) and Paul (Carolann), and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored and his friends at the Admirals Coast Retirement Home. Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cremation to follow on Sunday, June 5th, 2011. Funeral service will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road, on Monday, June 6th, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Foundation. Gus will be remembered, by those who knew him, as a wonderful outdoorsman who loved nature in every way and also as a man who loved to have a dance and to have a time.
