Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, Roy P. Vardy, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie (nee Baker); and granddaughter Belinda. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Robert and Donald (Sharon); granddaughter Emily; sister Inez Badcock (Don); sisters-in-law: Muriel Vardy, Myrtle Vardy, Iris Melhizer, Vera Barnes (Kelvin) and Geraldine Bown (George); brother-in-law Roderick Baker (Lois); also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Admiral’s Coast Retirement Center, especially to Andrea and Molly who were his angels during his stay at Admiral’s Coast. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and then from 12 noon - 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday.
