Helen Asseff, age 102 of Halifax, passed away peacefully March 30, 2019 in St. Vincent’s Nursing Home.
Born in South Harbour on Oct. 2, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Fitzgerald) Asseff. Helen lived life to the fullest, enjoying travel and reading.
She is survived by sisters, Marcella, Mary; and brother, Walter (Melba).
She was predeceased by sisters, Ina, Effie, Eva, Sadie; brothers, John, William, Omar; and several nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff of St. Vincent’s for their care and compassion.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, with a Funeral Mass and burial at St. Joseph’s Church, Dingwall to occur at a later date.
