It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Lionel Hill on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Oakley and Josephine (Lukow) Hill.
In his younger years, he was employed as a truck driver. He was known as a kind and friendly person, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Lionel is survived by his brother, Basil (Martha) Hill, Sydney, their children, Stephen, Amanda and Christopher; his daughter, Lisa, Sydney Mines, grandson, Brandon.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Josephine (Elliot).
Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
