HEARN, Gladys A. — Passed away after a short illness at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island. June 1, 2011. Gladys A Hearn (nee Somerton) 1922-2011. Predeceased by her husband Patrick J. Hearn (1981). Leaving to mourn her companion Ben Skanes, four daughters: Verna (Gerald Simon), Linda (Bill Williams), Barbara (George Jestican) Carol (Art Whelan), two sons: Patrick W. (Thea Aldrich), Kenneth F. (Florence Marshall) 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Myra Somerton. A large circle of relatives and friends. Special nephews: Jack Somerton and Edward Blake. Special nieces: Madonna Trickett and Helen Trimm. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home Bell Island. Visitation Saturday June 4 and Sunday June 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Monday June 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Parish. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island.
