Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Monday, August 31, 2009, Doris M. (Snow) Butt of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by 1st husband John William Snow and 2nd husband Malcolm Butt, son Joseph, infant daughter Eleanor Frances, grandson Terry, great-grandson Andrew, brothers: Benjamin, Charles and Chesley, sisters: Leah, Maude and Florence. Leaving to mourn one daughter Sylvia (Melvin) Fillier, Thompson, Man.; one son Woodrow (Eileen) Snow, Kelligrews; nine grandchildren: Shawn, Trudy, Stephanie, Dayna, Sherry, Dianne, Kathy, Lisa and Tammy; 11 great-grandchildren Cassandra, Danika, Kayla, Matthew, Stuart, Chandler, Carter, Mackenzie, Evan, David, Steven; three step-daughters Vera (Arthur) Roy and Brenda (Gerald) Companion, both of Scarborough, ON and Noreen Butt, Toronto, Ont.; one step-son Andrew (Eileen) Butt, Fort McMurray, Alta.; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Marian Snow, St. John’s; one brother George (Jessie) Butt, Carbonear; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Butt and Lavinia Snow, both of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, September 3 at 2:30 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
