Margaret Smith
We, the family of Margaret Alexander Smith, regret to announce her passing on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born January 26, 1929, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Priscilla (Hewitt) Philips.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Tanya Good (Wayne), Ont.; sons, James “Jimmy” (Pat), Sydney, Alex, Halifax and Gordon, Sydney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James; daughter, Catherine (in infancy); son, Neil; sisters, Florence Munroe and Doris MacAulay; and brothers, Kenny, James, Harry and Gene.
There will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the ALS Society.
