On May 24th, 2011 Ken passed away at the age of 80 years.

Ken is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Bobbe, whom he was married to for 58 years.

Predeceased by brother Don and sisters Jean McArthur and Pat Burnie.

Ken grew up in the Orillia, Ontario area and went to serve in the Canadian Army during the Korean War. After returning home he moved west to Kamloops, B.C. Shortly after he met Bobbe and they were married in 1953. Kamloops has been their lifelong home, living in the Powers Addition area for many years.

Ken's working years started on the ships vying the Great Lakes of Ontario. After coming west he was employed by the CPR, driving transport truck, mainly for Van-Kam. He then got an opportunity to serve an apprenticeship with the IBEW, Kamloops and finished his working years in the electrical construction industry.

To say Ken loved the outdoors would be an understatement. His truck and camper could always be found in the Tunkwa/Duffy Lakes area. He fished year round, stopping at virtually every lake to try his luck. During the evening he could be found sitting in his camper talking to his many friends on his Ham Radio set. Ken also had a trapline for a few years and hunted in the same area. Ken and Bobbe owned a cabin on Tunkwa Lake which they enjoyed with friends during the summer months.
