Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, June 4, 2011, of
A. Jemima Beairsto of Andrews Lodge and formerly of Greenfield Ave.,
Charlottetown, aged 102 years. Survived by step-son Jack Beairsto
(Shirley), London, ON. and step-daughter Mary McKeon (Charlie,
deceased) of Etobicoke, ON. and by six grandchildren and numerous
great-grandchildren. Cherished aunt to Elizabeth Pippy, Wallace Matheson
and Linda Matheson, Fulton MacLaine (Mary Lou), Fred MacLaine (Nora),
Donald Holmes (Marian), Mervin Holmes (Eleanor), Lowell Holmes, June
Holmes, Sheila MacQuarrie, deceased, (Boyd), Wendell MacLaine, Brent
MacLaine (Kay), Herbert MacLaine (Joy) and numerous grandnieces and
nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ralph A. Beairsto (1972), by her
parents Wallace and Elizabeth (MacPhee) MacLaine of Rice Point and by
all her siblings Hattie MacLaine, Esther MacLaine, Rankin (Louise),
Burdena Holmes (Clifford), Ella Matheson (Chester), Milton (Florence)
and Donald (Elaine). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the
funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. Family
