It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Bertha Elizabeth (Aitken) Clamp on Sept. 1, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Ashley and Stella (Clarke) Aitken.
Bertha is survived by her husband, Albert; two sons, Victor and Bruce; three daughters, Janet, Linda and Bonnie; two brothers, Walter and Percy and sister, Erma; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Murray in 2006, three brothers, Melville, Norris, Ivan and three sisters, Cora, Vernie and Elza.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 786 Alexandra St. Sydney, Friday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. with interment to follow in Alfred E. Smith Cemetery, Edgewater Drive, Howie Centre.
