BRANNEN, Rowena Evelina (Smith), born November 26, 1915, in Baccaro, Shelb. Co., passed away peacefully on May 29, 2011, at the Victoria General Hospital. She leaves behind a daughter Norah (George) Taylor; four grandchildren, Andrew (Heather) Taylor, Cyndi Brannen, Tammy (Jeff) Supple and Anjali Brannen; five great-grandchildren; brothers Leonard and Howard; and sister Rosalie Bonnell; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Eugene; son Robert (Coral); brothers Hersey, Alvin and Jack; sisters, Alfretta Atkinson and Inez Plester. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. During her last days she was still very witty bringing smiles to those who surrounded her. A celebration of her life was held Saturday, June 4 in the Full Gospel Church, 806 Kearney Lake Road, Bedford and a second service will be held Saturday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. in her home community of Barrington at Huskilson’s Funeral Home. Special thanks to the staff on 5A at the VG Hospital and also to the staff at Cobequid Emergency Centre.
