MAYO, Stephen “Steve” Michael - 53, of Mavillette, formerly of Burlington, Ontario, passed away May 25, 2011. Born in Scarborough (Toronto), Ontario, he was a son of Terry and Joan (Kenn) Mayo of Burlington, Ontario. Steve had a love for anything involving water as was displayed in his passion for boating, boat restoration, scuba diving, his aquariums and model ship building. Other passions were classic cars and movies, tae kwon doe and stamp collecting. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Judith Mayo, Mavillette, formerly of Burlington, Ontario; Step-son, Anthony “Tony” Roy Scheer, Hebron, formerly of Burlington, Ontario; sister, Karen Spanik, Burlington, Ontario. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Meteghan Funeral Home where a memorial service took place yesterday, June 6 at 11:00 am. Rev. A.D.(Bill) Newell officiated. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia, Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia, Canadian Brain Tumor Association, VON - Yarmouth Branch or Canadian Cancer Society.
