Nancy Lee AYLWARD

Age 63 of Eastern Passage, with immense sorrow and grief, we announce the passing of our beloved Nancy on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in the VG site, QEII. Nancy passed peacefully and quietly as she had wished surrounded by Steve and family she loved. Nancy was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, she was a daughter of the late William and Phyllis (Douse) Aylward. She is survived by her husband, Steve Henneberry; sister, Sonja Lifford (Jack), nephews Troy (Janice), Chad; great nephews, Tyler, Brett, Wynn; great nieces, Claire and Abby. She will be sadly missed by everyone who had the honour of knowing her, from Prince Edward Island to Florida and everywhere in between. She loved being a Snowbird at St. Pete’s Beach. She has left many footprints on that beach and many friends who will miss her dearly. Nancy was a joyful, free spirit, loved to entertain, was always happy being there for anyone who needed anything. Her heart of gold will be forever be engrained in many of those whom she helped. She loved concerts and exploring Florida with friends. Nancy enjoyed her “Curves Group” once a month for coffee. Nancy loved Prince Edward Island deeply and hoped to get there one more time. The little girl with curly red hair faced life with tenacity, determination and strength. She was happily self-employed for many years. Special thanks to the exceptional help of Eddy and Christine plus the incredible nurses at the QEII 7th floor. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday May 18th in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Eastern Passage Food Bank or Hope for Wildlife. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com (Dartmouth Chapel). Lord, accept our dear Nancy, provide comfort and peace for her.
