ARSENAULT, GEORGES JR. - 1921 - 2011 - Georges Jr. Arsenault, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Sunday, June 5th, 2011, 12 days short of his 90th birthday, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Port Elgin, NB, he was the son of the late Georges Sr. and the late Celina (née: Bourque) Arsenault. Mr. Arsenault had retired from NB Power and was a member of Saint-Anselme parish. He is survived by four daughters: Anita (Desiré) LeBlanc of Moncton, Irene (Bernard) Bourgeois and Claudette (Al) Donaldson, both of Dieppe and Doris Arsenault of Dartmouth, NS; four sons: Francis (Gisele) of Fall River, NS, Paul and Claude, both of Dieppe and Charles (Lise) of Rexton; four sisters: Irene Goode of Meaford, ON, Sr. Edith of North Bay, ON, Marg (Alex) Plausini and Sr. Maryanne, both of Sudbury, ON; one brother, Robert “Pete” of Moncton; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosa in 1989; five sisters: Anita, Sr. Viola, Germaine, Ginger and Loretta and also by three brothers: Ralph, Lawrence and Emile.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 pm until time of departure.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 7 pm. Interment at Saint-Anselme parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
