The Late Chief Henry Nathaniel Naytowhow was born January 29, 1940 at Montreal Lake, SK. He passed on to be with our creator on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Henry Naytowhow was Chief and in Council for the Montreal Lake Cree Nation and Little Red River Reserve (106A) for most of his career life. He will be greatly missed by the two communities he served. Henry Nathaniel Naytowhow is survived by his wife Mary Agnes (nee Bird); his beloved precious children Sherry Naytowhow-Smith, Henry Naytowhow Jr., Claudia Naytowhow, Robin A.P. Bird, Desmond K. Naytowhow, Gloria Naytowhow, Sarah Bird, Jennifer Bird, John Moses Bird, Albertine Moostoos and Sandra M. Bird; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rest now Dad. You have done your duties for us and your people. We will cry but only for a while. We will always remember the good times and the sad times we had with you, but most of all you will always remain in our hearts, never to be forgotten. We love you Dad. Wake Services will commence at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd at Prince Albert Student Residence, on Thursday, September 3rd at Little Red River Reserve, and on Friday, September 4th at Montreal Lake, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Montreal Lake School Gym. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
