DRYDEN, Marguerite Annie Georgina – 78, Truro, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 4, 2011, after a brief illness. Born March 5, 1933, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Regina King and Harrison “Harry” Dryden. Marguerite was a loyal associate member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro. Many long-time residents of Truro will remember her years of service in the store and bakery owned by her parents on Young Street. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Marguerite is survived by her sister, Helen (Glen) Thompson, Shortts Lake; brothers, Gordon (Marie) Dryden, Truro; Winston (Shirley) Dryden, Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. Marguerite was loved by her 17 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her half sisters, Georgina, Lorraine, Marie, Bertha; brothers, Harry, Louis. Honouring Marguerite’s wishes, a private family interment will be held in Robie Street Cemetery. No flowers by request.
