We regret to announce the sudden passing of Fred Gouthro, 59, of Mill Creek, at his home on Saturday, June 4, 2011.
Born in North Sydney on April 30,1952, he was the son of the late Martin amd Mary Gouthro of Frenchvale.
Fred will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Brenda (Marsh) Gouthro; his daughters, Donna (Shaun) McGean, Tracey (Billy) MacDonald and his grandchildren, Shaun D., Ella, Mary and Charlie Beth. Also surviving are his twin brother, Thomas (Peggy) Gouthro and sisters, Regina Cann (Cecil Parsons), Martina Donovan and Mildred MacKinnon.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Boutilier and many nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter MacLeod officiating. The burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Frenchvale.
