Charles Ryan Muggah

Charles Ryan Muggah

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our Ryan; husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew cousin and friend, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Ryan is the son of Arlene Muggah, Sydney, and Roger Muggah (Trudie), Lower River.
At a young age, Ryan was a very determined individual, who spent most of his days making people smile and bringing everyone together. Ryan enjoyed his beloved bungalow in Ironville, whether it was spending time with his family, his very special buddies, or enjoying a weekend getaway with Jenna. Ryan was always the first one down at the beach (with his siblings or wife) getting the fire ready. Whenever there was a negative light, Ryan turned to the bungalow for peace and comfort. Ryan enjoyed spending time with his Dad and Poppy, tinkering around in the shop and helping his Mom in the yard, no matter what the adventure was.
Ryan graduated from CBU in May 2017, with an Electronic Engineering Diploma and was very excited to begin his future. In the past few months, Ryan was very determined to start his own business, which he succeeded and named “Muggah’s Fab Lab”. Ryan will be remembered for his positive attitude, his kindness and love towards others, his sense of humour even on the hardest days and not letting his illness bring him down. He truly is our hero.
Besides his parents, Ryan is survived by his wife, soul mate and best friend, Jenna Muggah and his special “best man” Jax, Havre Boucher; siblings, Nelson and Makenzy Muggah, Kayla and Gregor Pattingale; special grandfather, Charles “Poppy” Muggah and grandmother, Ruth Muggah; nephew, Vander; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Russell Pettipas; brother-in-law, Josh Pettipas (Kristina); many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Ryan is also survived by many of his special friends, who he cherished more like brothers.
Ryan is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Mary and Johnny Gillis and maternal uncle, Roddy Gillis.
Our family would like to thank the amazing staff at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, especially the palliative care nurses and Dr. Cooper for their amazing compassion and support during Ryan’s final days. Thank you to Dr. Ravi Ramjeesingh, oncologist in Halifax for giving us hope during Ryan’s journey and to Father Allan MacPhie and Deacon Art Riley for their prayers.
There will be no visitation per request. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ryan’s life will take place at Green’s funeral home on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Deacon Berkley Guthro presiding.
Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Martha’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
