DesChamps, Eileen (Crewe) Waugh, 79, Truro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Dawson’s Cove, Newfoundland on October 14, 1931. Beloved daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Blagdon) Crewe. . Eileen was a former employee of K-Mart, Truro as well as Sobeys in Antigonish. She enjoyed cooking and sharing with family and friends. Our Mom loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed playing Bingo, loved flowers, was an avid reader of books and enjoyed family gatherings. She was the beloved mother of Harry (Lucy) Waugh, Ontario, Charlie (Lynn) Waugh, Beverly Cutten, Karen Gero, Anthony (Karen) Waugh, Jackie Groves, Jane (Paul) Makinen, all of Truro, Robert (Lana) Waugh, Florida, Howard Waugh, Wentworth, Peter Waugh, Dartmouth; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Len (Audrey) Crewe, Wentworth; sisters, Meta and Isabelle, B.C.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger DesChamps; daughter, Barb McLean. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 until time of memorial service at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev. Kaj Binderup officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetic Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
