
Rodrique "Dick" Richard
RICHARD, RODRIQUE “DICK” JOSEPH - Rodrique "Dick" Richard, 89, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Born on January 11, 1922 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Émilien and Henriette (Goguen) Richard. Dick was a veteran of the WW2 and a member of the Dieppe Veterans Association and the CNR War Vets Association of Moncton. He enjoyed gardening, reading and telling stories. He is survived by his wife, Huberte (LeBlanc); one daughter, Thérèse Wilson of Moncton; three sons: Gérard (Wendy), Daniel and André, all of Moncton; two grandchildren: Lisa (James) and Mathieu as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He is predeceased by his sisters and brothers: Anna, Dora, Victorine, Ronald and Laurie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Thursday June 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Cap-Pelé parish cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
