Dean ‘Chico’ LaBobe

Dean ‘Chico’ LaBobe

Passed on: May 23rd, 2019

It is with broken hearts the family announce the sudden passing of Chico LaBobe, age 53, at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, NB on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019. Born in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Chico is the son of Jean LaBobe, Membertou and the late Edward C. LaBobe.
As a young child Chico always wanted to fly. He was strong willed, hardworking and a very funny story teller. He was adventurous, outdoorsy and quick witted. He always had a joke to tell. If he trusted you, he would do anything for you and loved you deeply. Family meant everything to him and that love showed through his own childlike heart, as he played and joked with family. His dedication and love for his mother was shown as he made sure, she had her breakfast, coffee and tea. He was a great son.
Chico would drive in any kind of weather, at any time of day to help his loved ones.
A man of many skills is how he will be remembered. A true jack of all trades. Now that he passed into the spirt world, he can now fly. Fly High Chico.
Left to mourn is his mother, Jean LaBobe; companion, Elissa Herney; children, Drew, Savannah, Mason, Cassandra, Daniel, Dray, Quinn, Tyra, Chelsea, Samantha and Sasha; brothers, Dennis Nevin and Bruce LaBobe; sisters, Wanda and Wannetta LaBobe, and a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chico was predeceased by his father, Edward C. LaBobe; grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Hanning, and niece, Carissa LaBobe.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m., on Monday, May 27 at 160 Tupsi Dr., Membertou. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29 at St. Marguerite Bougeoys, Fr. Bill Burke officiating. There will be a salite at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre following the Funeral Mass.
