It is with great regret, that the family of the late Annie Georgina Brown (nee Pollard) of Englee, NL, age 83, announce her passing at the Hoyles-Escosoni Home, St. John’s, on May 20, 2011, after a lengthy illness of Alzheimer’s. Annie is predeceased by husband Harold, son Kevin, parents Alfred and Margaret Pollard, granddaughters Amy-Ann and Sharmein, and sister Audrey. Annie leaves to mourn daughters Eileen (Freeman Pope), Jean (George O’Reilly), Barbara (Alvin Cull), and Linda (Reuben Pollard); sons Ronald Brown and Wayne (Gladys) Brown; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, brothers, and other relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place at Englee United Church on Thursday, June 16, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Englee. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Annie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
