Dr. Murdock Smith
Card of Thanks
Dr. Murdock Smith
We, the family of the late Dr. Murdock Smith, would like to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to our many family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, patients and the community at large for the outpouring of love and support during our time of loss. The many stories and remembrances we heard and continue to hear will help to sustain the memory and legacy of Murdock.
Thank you to Kollin Weatherbee and the staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel for their professional manner, kindness, and guidance during this time. Also, thanks to the staff at the Joan Harris Pavilion and at Flavors on the Water for accommodating the funeral service and reception.
To the musicians who played during the service, piper John Grant, fiddler (and granddaughter) Olivia MacPhail, and Donnie Campbell for providing such beautiful music, our sincere thanks. We are appreciative of Reverend Thomas Whent, who provided a steady and supportive hand during this time of loss.
Sincere thanks to Tom Murphy and Dr. Chris Milburn for their wonderful words of remembrance. The honour guard during the service provided by the Ashby Bridge Club and the Medical community was a lovely tribute.
Many thanks to those who brought food and drink to the house, who took the time to call or send a message, who traveled to attend the service and who made donations in Murdock's name. He was loved, and he will be missed.
Sincerely, The Smith Family
