Joseph Gillis
At Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley, on Monday, June 6, 2011, of Joseph Gillis, Bayside, aged 70. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Cameron).
Born in Bayside on March 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Angus and Mary (nee MacKinnon) Gillis. Dear father of Joey, Ottawa; Barb, Summerside; and Eddie at home. Brother of Priscilla March, Gloucester, MA; Angus “Bud”, Richmond; Mary (Neil) MacKay, Kensington; Betty (Leo) Walsh, Hope River; Linda McClintick, Stratford; and Kay (Barry) Shaw, Hazelbrook. Brother-in-law of Leo (Wendy), Port Hope, ON; Harold (Melina) Cameron, Wellington; Eleanor Breau, Summerside; and Myra Gillis, Arlington.
Predeceased by his parents; brother, Urban; brothers-in-law, Raymond March, Reginald McClintick, Urban, Lloyd, Austin, Earl, Alden and Ralph Cameron; and sister-in-law, Blanche Praught.
Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m.; then to St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Grand River, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
