It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James George Campbell at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on Tuesday June 7, 2011, following a two week period in hospital.
James was born in Inverness on Jan. 21, 1937, he was the son of the late James and Christina (MacDonald) Campbell of Little Judique and lived all of his life in Red Islands. He worked on his property and local jobs in the area. James attended Johnstown Academy and was a kind, generous and religious man. James had many friends and enjoyed music and loved to sing, read and draw.
He is survived by his only sister, Kay, with whom he resided, as well as many cousins and friends.
Resting in Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown, Friday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11 a.m., with Rev. Joe Gillis presiding, burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
