Passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2009 at the Carlingview Manor, Ottawa, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Graham Morry, her son of the same name and her grandson, Ian Thomas Graham Morry. Leaving with many fond memories of a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her daughter Lanny and grandson Mick Morry; loving daughter-in-law Marietta and grandchildren Pete and Em; son Chris, wife Jamie and grandchildren Bryan, Gill and Nicola, as well as Great-Granddaughter Oonagh; and son Glen, wife Randi and grandchildren Lauren, Will and Holly. Evelyn was a staunch women’s advocate, serving on the Canadian Council of Women and as a Commissioner in the Girl Guides. The daughter of John Thomas Carr Wheeler and Sarah Minnie (Bishop) Wheeler, Evelyn was also a proud Newfoundlander and has made her final journey home to rejoin her brother and sister, Otto and Muriel, who predeceased her. A service in Evelyn’s honour will be held at graveside at the new Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Rd. at 2 p.m. on September 7. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be most appreciated by the family.
