Marlene CAMPBELL

New Glasgow – Marlene Campbell, July 27, 1954 – July 12, 2019. On the morning of July 12th, at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow, the heart of an amazing woman stopped beating. Marlene Ann Campbell (Thomas) was surrounded by her loving and devoted family as she stepped into eternal life. Marlene grew up in Long Beach Port Morien where she still has wonderful childhood friends and memories. She graduated from Donkin-Morien High School and married Eric Campbell of Tower Rd. They had two wonderful daughters, Angella and Shauna. Marlene danced to the beat of a simple statement, “Being miserable is a habit - Being happy is a habit - and the choice is yours!” Marlene was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and friend. She was the proud grandmother and great-grandmother of four special grandchildren and three special great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Eric; daughters: Angella, Shauna (Hans); brothers: Wayne (Jeanie), Dougie (Doreen), Calvin (Kaye), Darrell (Wendy); sister, Velma (Wayne). She was predeceased by parents: Vince and Gertie; brothers: Sheldon and Gerald. Cremation has taken place and Marlene’s wish was that no visitation or service be held. Everyone who knew Marlene will have their own way of remembering her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Condolences may be sent by visiting: www.rhporter.ca
