POTHIER, Phyllis Anne “Mere”, 77, of the Meadows Home for Special Care, formerly of Wedgeport, passed away July 21, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Wedgeport, she was a daughter to the late Laurent and Tracy (Pothier) Doucette. Phyllis dedicated her life in the caring for others, always putting others needs before her own. She will be dearly missed by the love of her life, and husband for 59 years William (Willie) Pothier; daughters, Kelley (Paul) Muise, Hectanooga; Suzanne (Alain) Deveau, Fort McMurray AB; brother, Dennis (Debbie) Doucette, Wedgeport; sister, Dorothy (Donnie) Pinner, Arcadia; 5 grandchildren, Adam Deveau, Ryan Deveau, Lisa Murray, John Muise, Joseph Muise, who she loved to the moon and back, as well as 13 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother and sister in law Richard & Annette Doucette. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Visitation took place on Wednesday July 24, from 2- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service was held on Friday, July 26 at 10 am also from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev Keith Moore officiated. Burial followed in St Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Wedgeport.
