Passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Regina General Hospital, Donald “Wayne” Spracklin of Regina, Saskatchewan, formerly of Brigus. Predeceased by his father Gordon and brother John. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend of 34 years, Monica (nee Cole), also known as his high school sweetheart; sons Rubert (Laura) & Wayne; daughter Marlena (Eugene); grandchildren Jordan, Carissa, Aliyah, Emily & Ethan; mother Matilda; sister Bernice; brothers Melvin (Evelyn) & Eugene; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10, 2011 from 1-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Brigus United Church. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Wayne Spracklin Memorial Fund. Wayne was a quiet and easy going man. His one true passion, other than his family, was 200 miles offshore when he was fishing, which he did so for 20 years.
