The death occurred at her home in Rusticoville on June 8, 2011, of Mary Gallant, age 79.
Mary was the mother of Irene McCarville (Eddie), Pat Flood (Pearl), Leo Flood (Anne), Karen Villard (Roy) and Clement Flood (Donna); grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 13. She is also survived by her sisters, Lency Carragher (Francis) and Frances Trainor; brother, George Monaghan (Joan); and sister-in-law, Jemma Monaghan.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Flood and Francis C. Gallant; her parents, Emmett and Mary (MacGuigan) Monaghan; brother, Jerome; and brother-in-law, George Trainor.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, June 10, 2011, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico on Saturday, June 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
