Kennedy, Gordon Roy “Gord” – 66, Brookfield passed away June 9, 2011 at home. Born in Truro on June 17, 1944, he was a son of Hazel Kennedy of Brookfield and the late Roy Kennedy. Gord worked as a building contractor for 40 years. He loved fishing, playing cribbage and listening to country music. He is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Todd (Laura), Bible Hill; daughter, Tammy Fortune (Mark), Stellarton; granddaughter and the love of his life, Madison; brother, Art Kennedy (Darlene), Hilden; sister, Sandra Kennedy, Newfoundland. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverley Frizzell. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11 from 7-9 pm; memorial service on Sunday, June 12 at 3:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev.
