BURKE, Teresita (Teeta) (nee Greene)– Passed peacefully away at home on Thursday, November 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Teeta was born March 17, 1956 and grew up in Point Verde. She moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta where she spent her career as a dedicated employee of Syncrude Canada Ltd. for 26 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Mercedes (2006) and her father, Ambrose (1983). Left to celebrate her life, her loving and devoted husband of 31 years Lester Burke; her four children: Tara, Melissa, Rikki and John. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories two brothers Myles and Keith and three sisters: Renee, Resee and Teena. Also feeling a great loss are her father and mother-in-law Jack and Gladys Burke, who meant the world to her; sisters-in-law: Sandra, Jacqui, Gloria, Geri, Tess, Elizabeth and Chantelle; brothers-in-law: Wally and Bruce; in addition, a large circle of relatives and friends and her co-workers at Syncrude. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, Newfoundland. Funeral Mass to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 17th, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia.
